The Ghan operates two services through Katherine per week during the tourist season, and Greyhound run daily bus services. Commercial flights also service the region.

Situated only a short stroll through natural tropical bushland to the Katherine River and only 5 minutes by car to Katherine Post Office and business district this well established caravan park of 3 stars. Currently trading as a Top Tourist Park the park has main office with storage and work rooms/offices and shower, toilet facilities. The managers residence is self contained open plan with one double bedroom. There is a double carport attached to the residence with two huge shed storage areas.

The park has two well appointed amenities (ablutions) blocks, campers kitchen/barbecue area and large laundry with modern appliances. There are two near new ensuite deluxe cabins, 4 recently refurbished ensuite cabins and well appointed another larger ensuite deluxe cabin.

Roadways are of well maintained compacted grit which match the natural tropical setting of the park. All services appear well maintained and compliant given age.

The Katherine Region stretches from Dunmarra in the south, to the Daly River region in the north. From east to west, it embraces both the Queensland and Western Australian borders and in total cover around 480,000 square metres.

The Katherine Region is Adventure Territory, boasting the magnificent Nitmiluk (Katherine Gorge) National Park. Around Katherine, is the Borroloola and the Gulf Region across the Roper River Elsey National Park, Mataranka Thermal Pools, the majestic scenery of the Victoria River Region, Pine Creek and the Douglas and Daly River areas.

Katherine is ideally positioned as a base from which to explore all the Top End has to offer. Located only a couple of hours from Kakadu, Litchfield and Gregory National Parks, the town of Katherine is the central hub of the region.

Most travelers access the Katherine Region by road, on either the major tourist drives. The Explorers Way follows the Stuart Highway from Darwin in the Top End, south to the Barkly Region and Central Australia. The Savannah Way links Queensland, the Northern Territory and Western Australia, following the Carpentaria Highway to the East, and the Victoria Highway through the western reaches of the Region.
